Start from a case and its evidence
A case holds information, stages and activities that may become relevant as work progresses. Use it for investigations or case handling where one fixed sequence would be misleading.
Define entry and exit conditions
A sentry combines events and conditions that enable or end a plan item. A milestone represents an achieved condition. Keep these criteria explicit so the operator can understand why a task is available.
Deploy and run a case
Deploy the case model with POST /api/v1/models (1 credit, refunded if the deploy fails). Start a case with POST /api/v1/cases and {"caseDefinitionId", "variables"}, which costs 1 credit. A plan item waits as a job: complete it with POST /api/v1/cases/jobs/{jobKey}/complete. List cases with GET /api/v1/cases and end one with DELETE /api/v1/cases/{key}.
Test the lifecycle
- Create a case with representative input.
- Trigger the evidence or event required by an entry criterion.
- Complete a task and inspect the dependent stage or milestone.
- Test cancellation and missing information as well as the successful path.
